As summer comes to a close, we’re reflecting on a busy and rewarding season at Chatham Conservation Foundation. Thank you to all who joined us, volunteered, and supported our mission to protect Chatham’s natural resources.
Here are a few highlights from the past few months:
Annual Meeting – We gathered with members and trustees to review the past year, share updates on our conservation work, and look ahead to upcoming projects.
Summer Fundraiser on Strong Island – Hosted by the Cashman Family, over 100 guests joined us to celebrate being “a force for nature” and to launch our new Land Stewards for Tomorrow Fund. Together, we met our $100,000 fundraising goal.
Strong Island Walks – Our guided walks offered visitors the chance to explore the “gem” of Pleasant Bay, learning about the island’s history, wildlife, and conservation efforts.
Trail and Meadow Maintenance – Volunteers helped maintain trails and restore the Mini Meadow in front of the Mayo House, ensuring these spaces remain accessible and healthy for both wildlife and visitors.
We are grateful to everyone who took part in making this summer a success. Whether you attended an event, rolled up your sleeves to help in the field, or supported from afar, you are helping advance conservation in Chatham.
We look forward to seeing you this fall for more opportunities to connect with CCF and our work. Be sure to check our events page for more information. https://www.chathamconservationfoundation.org/event-list
