Land Donations or CR

One of the best ways to leave a lasting legacy is by preserving land. Donations to land trusts may qualify donors of land and/or conservation easements [also called conservation restrictions], for income, estate, or gift tax savings.

Additional guidance from an attorney, tax advisor, and/or professionals familiar with these concepts is helpful and recommended. Please contact our Executive Director to learn more, at 508-945-4084.

Planned Giving

The Chatham Conservation Foundation Inc. (CCF) is the oldest land trust on Cape Cod, an honor which we are grateful to hold and will continue to build upon. We invite members of the community to build on their legacies with us through the lasting benefits of Planned Giving, one of the most impactful ways to conserve the beauty and charming character of Chatham. We hope you will join us in forever preserving the wild places, plants, animals, ecosystems, and woodland trails that we love, by considering us in your estate planning.

CCF gratefully accepts bequests, gifts of IRAs, and gifts of life insurance, which are all briefly outlined in the column to the right. CCF is a 501(c)3 nonprofit (tax exempt number 04-6047692).

Special Gifts

CCF is grateful to donors who have supported us with special gifts. Examples of such gifts are:

Unrestricted gift from a donor from their IRA Required Minimum Distribution
One time major gift from a donor to honor a loved one
Legacy contribution to CCF's endowment to expand our long-term capacity
Donation to CCF's land acquisition fund
Bequest of property for CCF to leverage for environmental purposes
Donation of funds for specific purchases of tools and equipment, including signage, educational materials, and technology
In-kind donations of special expertise, consulting, and services

CCF is excited to announce a special donation opportunity – the Land Stewards for Tomorrow fund. The goal of this fund is to allow CCF to expand the work we do on land stewardship and restoration. As a Land Steward for Tomorrow, you will receive updates on our restoration efforts and invitations to visit restoration sites with our Land Stewardship team.

Memorialize or Pay Tribute
to Someone Special

Honor the memory of someone special with a gift in remembrance, or celebrate a birthday, wedding or other special moment with a donation to help protect our planet.

When you make your donation, please provide a mailing address and optional email address for the person you are honoring or their loved one you wish to notify. The person you designate will be notified of your thoughtful gift by mail within two to three weeks.
You will also receive an email and letter confirming and acknowledging your donation for your own records.
