December 1 – Bear Boy by Justin Barker
Join us at 4:00 PM on Monday, December 1, at the Mayo House for a discussion of Bear Boy by Justin Barker. This memoir shares the story of a teenager who fought to rescue three bears from inhumane conditions while navigating the challenges of growing up. It’s a powerful look at youth activism, animal welfare, and the impact one person can make.
The Chatham Conservation Foundation Book Club meets on the first Monday of every month at the historic Mayo House, 540 Main Street, Chatham. Each month, we discuss books that explore nature and the environment. Free and open to all, no registration required.

Last month, the Book Club read Soaring With Fidel or Return of the Osprey by David Gessner.
