Saving & Preserving Land for 63 Years

We are very excited to share with our friends, neighbors and most of all, our tremendously supportive MEMBERS, that we have purchased a vacant buildable parcel on the Muddy Creek saving it from certain development.

This 1.7 acre heavily wooded parcel was the largest and last of only two vacant pieces of land on the water and it adjoins many acres we have preserved on both sides of the creek. Our neighbors tell us that they spot bald eagles in the vicinity and we know other local flora and fauna abound here.

While this parcel will not be open to the public, it adjoins a vast amount of protected land in the Muddy Creek headwaters (owned by CCF, HCT and the town), keeping it pristine for paddlers and a safe place for nesting birds.

We'll look forward to organizing a kayak trip up the river next summer (yes, I'm already dreaming of warmer days) and hope that you'll join us!
