November 3 – Soaring With Fidel or Return of the Osprey by David Gessner
Join us at 4:00 PM on Monday, November 3, at the Mayo House for a special discussion featuring not one but two works by author David Gessner. Participants can choose to read Soaring With Fidel, which follows the migration of ospreys along the Atlantic Flyway, or Return of the Osprey, Gessner’s account of the revival of these remarkable birds in New England. Both books celebrate the resilience of ospreys and highlight the deep connections between people and wildlife.
The Chatham Conservation Foundation Book Club meets on the first Monday of every month at the historic Mayo House, 540 Main Street, Chatham. Each month, we gather to discuss books that explore nature and the environment. Free and open to all, no registration required.
Last month, the Book Club read Grandma Gatewood’s Walk by Ben Montgomery.
